Apil 16, 2012 Update
The sections closed on the Parkway for tunnel repair projects at Ferrin Knob Tunnel at Milepost 401 and Big Witch Tunnel at MP 461 are scheduled to open to two-lane traffic by this Monday, April 16.

July-October 2012: One lane closed at Parkway Milepost 358 to 359, just north of Craggy Gardens and south of Mount Mitchell State Park to stabilize a slope failure at Milepost 358.8. Work will be completed under one-lane traffic control by automatic traffic light. Only brief traffic delays are expected. Between Nov. 1 and Summer 2013, this section of Parkway must be closed to traffic to complete the project.
