The new Grand Bohemian Hotel in Biltmore Village, Asheville, is certainly grand, opening on April 1, 2009. Built near the entrance gate to Biltmore Estate, the 104-room hotel is built to resemble a turn-of-the-century, grand European hunting lodge that George Vanderbilt may have built on his sprawling estate that is home to the famous Biltmore House. They succeeded. The Tudor-inspired pebbledash exterior blends perfectly with century-old buildings in Biltmore Village.

The interior of the Grand Bohemian Asheville is central European in its essence, borrowing from Austrian country styles mixed with the unique and contemporary flair, while upholding the heritage of the area.

Grand elegance of the Old World fills every corner with rustic design finishes, antiques and an amazing art collection valued in the millions, accompanied by all the modern luxuries synonymous with a Kessler Collection hotel.

Inside each of the Grand Bohemian Hotel's luxurious guestrooms and suites is an atmosphere of gracious. Guestrooms include a desk area, sumptuous bedding, a shower or separate soaking tub, carved bath vanity and stone flooring in the bathroom. Also, enjoy free Roomlinx Interactive TV in each room with free on-demand HD movies, free internet access, MP3 connectivity, and more. Their 24-hour fitness center features Pre-Cor cardio machines with personal TV screens, Star-Trac Strength training equipment, and a variety of weights and fitness amenities. Poseidon Spa is your tranquil escape and offers an eclectic blend of traditional spa services and uniquely Asheville-inspired delights.
A wedding at the picturesque Grand Bohemian Hotel is the essence of pure romance. Whether your dream day includes cocktails and hors d’oeuvres in the beautifully landscaped garden terrace, a formal dinner and dancing in our exquisitely appointed, Tudor-style ballroom, or a casually elegant afternoon brunch, the Grand Bohemian Hotel offers the perfect setting for this once-in-a-lifetime event.

As you enter the lobby, you will be overwhelmed with the antique and art collection. Sit in antique Chinese chairs, hand-carved in 1888. The columns in the lobby are originally from a palace in India. The ceilings in elevator lobby landing area and massive entrance doors are hand carved from Bali. Be sure to check out every corner. The case behind piano in Red Stag Bar & Grill displays antiques valued at over $100,000 in art, including Black Forest carvings dating back to 1800s.

Throughout the hotel is a staggering collection of "new" art from featured artists. As you walk to your guestroom, pause to see art adorning the hallways. You can take art home from the Grand Bohemian Gallery, showcasing more than 100 works of art by local, regional, and internationally recognized artists designed to inspire the collector in all of us. The gallery is adjacent to the lobby.

Art by Mitch Kolbe is located in Gallery, Guest Rooms and Red Stag Grill & Bar. Art by Jean Claude Roy is located in Gallery, Spa and third floor guest room hallways. Joshua Smith and Vadim Bora are featured on the second floor and Gallery.

Across the lobby is the Red Stag Grill, featuring contemporary European comfort food, an extensive wine by the glass menu, and a lively bar scene within a casual setting. Chef Adam Hayes is known for integrating local ingredients and flavor into each creative dish. His featured items include skillet roasted mussels, beef goulash with spaetzle, grilled elk filet, and North Carolina smoked ruby trout dip.

The Red Stag Grill also offers chop house style large and small portions of quality steaks.
You don't have to be an overnight guest to enjoy the art, shop in the gallery or dine at the restaurant. While you are exploring Biltmore Village, stop by and ask about their self-guided art tour!
