Hotel Indigo opened in Downtown Asheville in late 2009. It offers a blend of modern contemporary living with the best in traditional hotel hospitality. This "hip" boutique downtown hotel is easy walking distance to the many restaurants, galleries and night spots. The hotel's interior design concept is based on the dynamic composition of the character of Asheville – both mountain and urban city; forward looking but with a recognition of and appreciation for historical references. Each mural in the hotel tells a story of Asheville through different means. Some are abstractions of local natural plants that become large scale art pieces. Murals on the first floor create a continuous woodland scene complemented by contemporary millwork and lighting.

Hotel Indigo features cozy, airy and inviting guest rooms with oversized beds, hard-surface flooring with area rugs, signature murals, and spa-inspired showers; a Fitness Studio with cardio equipment and free weights; and complimentary wired and wireless Internet access throughout the hotel.

Sleep well in beds with plush bedding, duvets with covers, pillow shams and plenty of fluffy pillows. Guest rooms reflect a juxtaposition of the natural vs. urban in Asheville’s appeal. Pressed purple flowers portray a very modern approach to an organic image with the stark purple of the flowers repeated across the value scale against a white background in an almost Warhol-esque composition. A different over-scale natural element – this time a tree stump – creates another modern art piece, while yet another – an abstract image of rusted metal – references Asheville’s urban materials.

Relax and enjoy their quick serve restaurant and lounge,
OneFiftyOne Bar & Kitchen for cutting edge cuisine or grab a latte where they proudly brew locally roasted, free trade coffee.

From the locally-inspired murals to the renewal program where the images, music, scent, and menu items change throughout the year, Hotel Indigo delivers a vibrant, engaging and genuine boutique experience. The hotel embraces all things Asheville in its philosophy and design by featuring locally inspired artwork and regionally sourced materials. The lobby contains a Gabion wall stacked with native stones of various shapes and sizes and photographic murals of outdoor scenes taken by Asheville artist Zen Sutherland.

Condos are located on the top floors of Hotel Indigo. Several of these are available for nightly or long term condo rental. These elegant condos feature spacious living areas, 2 or 3 bedrooms, private outdoor terraces, and tasteful furnishings that harmonize the juxtaposing urban and natural landscapes.

The floor-to-ceiling windows frame mesmerizing panoramic views of Asheville and the surrounding
Blue Ridge Mountains.
